On the outskirts of Pune, the fields glowed in the soft light of dawn. Alongside my birding friend Sachin Bhoi, we were scanning the open landscape when a small flash of color caught our attention — the Striolated Bunting, a delicate migratory bird visiting from distant lands.
Perched atop a dry stalk, it sang softly, its striped plumage blending with the golden grass around. Each chirp seemed like a small story of a long journey, of winds crossed and seasons traveled.
It's a wonder that even the smallest travellers carry grand tales of endurance, migration, and the quiet poetry of nature.
