On a crisp morning at Manjalpade, my birding friends Vaman Kamath, Abhay Yelloore, Vivek Nayak, and I set out to explore the vibrant forest canopy. Amid the green foliage, a flash of bright green with hints of yellow swung gracefully from branch to branch — the Vernal Hanging Parakeet.
Its playful movements and melodic calls filled the morning air with life. We watched quietly as it nibbled on tender leaves, preened, and swayed effortlessly, a jewel in the midst of nature's greenery.
Simple moments in the forest, shared with friends and winged companions, become memories that linger forever.
