At the lush forests of Thattekkad, Kerala, I was blessed to photograph the elusive Sri Lankan Frogmouth — both male and female — during a wonderful birding session with Eldhose K.V.
He was more than just a guide; he was a passionate birder whose deep knowledge and love for nature made every moment unforgettable. I still remember his stories, his smile, and those beautiful mornings that began with Kerala puttu and kadale kari for breakfast before our birding trails.
Today, he is no more — but his spirit lives on in every click, every call of the forest, and every memory captured in Thattekkad's wild silence. A frame of nature's wonder and a tribute to a friend who taught me that true birding is a journey of the heart and soul.
