The Flame of Coorg — Flame-throated Bulbul
1600x1216

Field notes·1 min read

Nestled in the misty hills of Coorg, where coffee blossoms scent the air and streams sing softly through emerald valleys, nature reveals her finest art. On one such peaceful morning, camera in hand, I wandered through the dew-kissed woods, listening to the awakening forest.

Amid the symphony of chirps and rustling leaves, a sudden flash of colour caught my eyes — the Flame-throated Bulbul, glowing like a spark of fire in the green mist. Its bright throat shone against the dark foliage, a living gem of the Western Ghats.

For a moment, the world stood still — only the song of the bird, the whisper of the breeze, and the fragrance of Coorg's wild heart remained. In that silence, I felt the soul of nature itself.

Coorg's true beauty, I realized, is not just in its landscapes but in the little lives that fill its forests with music and light.
