In the quiet hills near Vittal, the morning air was cool and filled with the whispers of rustling leaves. Along with my birding friend Zamir Pasha, I wandered through the forest paths, listening to the rhythm of nature waking up.
Then came a burst of cheerful chatter — a group of Rufous Babblers, their warm brown feathers glowing in the soft light. One of them paused on a low branch, its curious eyes sparkling as if sharing a secret of the woods.
Their lively calls filled the air with joy and friendship. Every forest has its storytellers — small, humble voices that bring the wilderness to life.
